A week of Birthday's!

March is a busy month for birthday's in my family/friend circles.  Makes me wonder what was happening in June...oh wait, FATHER'S DAY! That's why there are so many March babies ;)

I've been holding Birthday Stamp-a-stacks lately so I'll be sharing some of those cards the next few days.

This was inspired by a card I saw on Google....no. Pinterest. It was Pinterest. I might need a Pintervention! I did however, completley change it! The card I originally pinned was a Christmas card! Basically I copied the layout and the rounder of 2/4 corners on each square of DSP. It's amazing how that tiny little change makes such a difference! Your thoughts?

I'm crying. As of today, I'm not able to order any more Sycamore Street DSP. I've fallen for these designs and colours. Pool Party, Rich Razzleberry, Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango, Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Crumb Cake. They're like close friends now. It's going to be a tough day. I'll get over it. Eventually. Like TOMORROW! Tomorrow I'm going to my first ever DIVA DAY!! Sooooo excited for this event! Our queen bee (aka Desiree Spenst - my upline) set out some incentives for us to reach specific goals and if we reach them, we get a morning of spoiling and crafting! So excited to be going!!

Enjoy your Friday!

Happy Birthday!

It was my 30th birthday yesterday! Kind of a bittersweet day. Sad to see my 20's go, but excited for what this new decade will bring. I saw this ecard on Pinterest and it's so true for me!
To celebrate, I'm having a Big Shot SALE! Anyone who purchases a Big Shot from me will receive their choice of two FREE Textured Impressions embossing folders AND two Sale-a-bration items! Contact me to place your order by 8pm March 21st, 2013.

Here's a card that I saw on Pinterest (but changed the colours and things to use SAB products!) Sorry it's so dark.

Just Because

I mentioned in my last post that I went on a Pinterest inspired card making binge. I'll share a few of the cards I created today. A few cards I loved so much that I just copied them exactly. No changes whatsoever.

Of course I was drawn to this card because of the yellow and gray (actually Summer Starfruit). I CASE'd this from Diane Squires at Stamp and Embellish.  There are a lot of new products too! The honeycomb folder and two tone ribbon are from the Spring Mini Catalogue, and the Sycamore Street DSP and Vintage Verses stamp set are FREE through Sale-a-bration!

You might notice the hints of white on the honeycomb texture. I rubbed a craft ink pad in Whisper White very lightly over just the raised parts being careful not to get it inside. Love it!

I love the Just because stamp with the pretty flourish. Definitely has a vintage feel to it. A lone rhinestone adorns the open space. (By the way, isn't that two tone ribbon fab?!? I love the gray and black threads and the shimmer it gives! It's even more gorgeous in person!)

Hope you're having a great start to your week! Don't forget, it's DOWNLOAD DAY! Head over to my online store to see the newest downloads

A Day at the Fair

Sometimes I think coming up with a title is the hardest part about blogging.

I didn't really go to a fair. Not today. I mean, I have been to a fair before. I just though that a fair is a likely place to see a Ferris Wheel, which is what our card's main image is today.

I CASE'd this card from my upline, Desiree Spenst. I changed up some of the colours and used a different print from the Sale-a-bration paper Sycamore Street, but other than that, the layout and elements are the same.

The Ferris wheel image from Feeling Sentimental was inked with Rich Razzleberry, Pool Party, and Island Indigo ink using sponge daubers. The Sycamore street ribbon (in Pool Party) and button (Rich Razzleberry) dress up this panel. That's one of the new Large Basic Rhinestone jewels in the centre of the button.

That's the Ticket (stamp set) contains some versatile images for all occasions. Stamp it and then punch it with the ticket duo punch and you've got an easy and fun accessory!

Here's one last peek at the whole card. Cute, eh? (Yes, I'm Canadian)

Enjoy your Friday!
